Job Overview

The QIS Market Solutions team is Solactive’s center of excellence for quantitative strategies. It manages the end-to-end lifecycle of systematic index strategies across multiple asset classes, combining quantitative finance, data engineering, and software development. The team develops and maintains quantitative models, builds and improves the infrastructure supporting daily index operations, and works directly with institutional clients on technical and operational matters. Operating across Solactive’s offices in Frankfurt, Toronto, and Hong Kong, the team combines quantitative expertise with hands-on development and client engagement.

Your Tasks

  • Take ownership of the development, implementation, and ongoing management of quantitative models for the QIS business. 
  • Design and develop robust quantitative tools and automated workflows to optimize daily index operations. 
  • Act as a key contact for institutional clients, including investment banks, hedge funds, and asset managers, addressing complex technical and operational matters. 
  • Lead quantitative infrastructure projects end to end, from architecture design and solution development to deployment and continuous improvement. 

Your Profile

  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience developing production-ready applications. 
  • Sound knowledge of software development principles, version control, and collaborative development practices. 
  • Good understanding of database architecture, data flows, and SQL. 
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, particularly derivatives and quantitative investment strategies. 
  • Experience with market data platforms such as Bloomberg, LSEG, or FactSet is an advantage. 
  • Strong ownership skills, with a high degree of responsibility and attention to detail. 
  • Self-driven and well-organized, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and drive them forward.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English. 
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial industry.
